Skagit River Valley in Winter

You usually think of tulips when you think of the Skagit River Valley.  It is actually quite beautiful at all times of the year.  Winter is notable for the birds, but also the view when the sun comes out.  Here are a few snap shots from New Year's Day, 2015.

There Were 2 Eagles Sitting Side-by-Side Just Before this Picture Was Taken

We Saw 11 Great Blue Herons

And 18 Bald Eagles!

Plus:
  • 6 Red Tailed Hawks
  • 3 Cooper's Hawks
  • And 1000's of Snow Geese!
If you live nearby, come check it out.  If you don't live here, come visit.  These pictures were all taken on a two hour drive, never venturing more than 20 miles from home.
