Day 2 England 2015: Bath

We think we're almost over jet lag...although we both took a nap this afternoon. Had a great day this morning. Spent it visiting the Baths....wow...followed up by lunch in the Pump Room. We then walked around the town. It's almost as confusing as Venice, only with cars.

Just another sunny day at the baths

The water is hot; just ask Vera who touched it illegally

The original Roman drain, now turned red from all the iron in the water

Supports for the original flooring. It was a venting system providing steam heat; in fact so hot they needed sandals, but nothing else. This was a coed sauna afterall

Lunch in the Pump Room, located directly above part of the vast ruins

Interesting food at a local butcher shop

Pub of the day

Charles Dickens slept here
