Rotorua-Napier-Masterton-Wellington
We saw more geothermal activity leaving Rotorua, including bubbling mud pits and a very large geothermal generating plant. Days 7&8 were big travel days, with lots of beautiful scenery. Napier was a surprise, having been rebuilt in the 30's in the "Art Deco" style because of a terrible earthquake in 1931. Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, is a beautiful city with hills that make San Francisco's look wimpy.
