Dolan Wernet, Paul Fox, and I fished Dragon Lake, BC this Spring and had a wonderful time. Dolan and Paul probably out fished me, but it was still a great experience.
The drive is beautiful, although some of the scenery is a little weird.
We stayed at the Fraser Bridge Inn (FBI), so named for the old bridge crossing the Fraser River and which has been converted into a walking bridge. FBI is literally at the end of the bridge, and it is just a short walk into downtown Quesnel, BC. This is not a wilderness experience.
Oh yeah, we caught some fish. No, this was not the normal fish. Dolan has this thing about brook trout, so we spent half a day checking out this small secret lake in the neighborhood that supposedly has 1 to 2 pound brook trout. Dolan caught one, and I doubt if it was even a 1/2 lb.
Here's Paul with a much nicer Dragon rainbow.
Do you even fish?
