Heart of Europe Trip-Day 6 (Fri 9/29)

We're on the road again, traveling the few hours from Eger to Budapest. First we spent the morning in the Eger region. The Czech Republic was beer, Poland was Vodka, and Hungary is now wine.

There wasn't much to see in Eger itself, although Vera managed to find a fabric store and buy a few meters of Hungarian fabric. Next we visited an English language class in a nearby school. Students practiced their English, and we had a traditional Hungarian lunch in the school. Not bad for a school cafeteria food.

As I said earlier, Hungary is wine country, and we drove for miles through vineyards, finally stopping at a local winery to enjoy their product and be entertained. It was probably the best wine tasting event we have ever been too. The wine was pretty good as well.

To make the event even better, Etelka whom we met last year on another Rick Steves' tour was the master of ceremonies. Fun was had by all.
