It was only a short walk through Vieste to catch a morning boat ride along a small part of Italy's Adriatic coast. It was a rugged coastline, complete with many small caves for our boat to squeeze into. We then had a great pasta and mozarella making demonstration. And of course, we got to eat what they made. You won't find food like this very often in the USA. It's much quieter than Rome with the tourist season almost over. Germans seem to like this area for its hiking and camping; with German sometimes more common than English for the second language.
A monastery just outside of town.
Our small boat negotiating the entrance to one of the many grottos.
The roof had collapsed on this grotto.
Beautiful blue water from within another grotto.
We happened to stumble across a movie set, although we're not sure what movie. Looks like something to do with Vikings or crusaders.
Stretching mozarella.
Yesterday's word: Lucertola or lizard
We saw these little crritters running all around Hadrian's villa back in Tirvoli.
Today's word: Piano (not the musical instrument)
Hint: You see this word near elevators and stairways. It can have three different meanings.
